  • In order to apply for a marriage license in Brevard County, couples must apply together and in-person at the Brevard County Clerk of Courts office.

  • Each couple needs to have valid identification and know their social security number.

  • If there are any previous marriages, the applicant must know the date of the divorce, death, or annulment.

  • If applicable, a premarital course certificate of completion must be presented when applying for the license.  

  • Once the application process is completed, there is a mandatory 3-day wait for processing. The waiting period is waived for couples who present a premarital certificate of completion. They will receive their wedding license immediately.
